Villa Ilias - Firostefani

The fine views from the pool area offered an unbeatable sunset experience, a highlight of the stay. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast with fresh local specialties, including good homemade jams, made it even more special. The room was well-kept and comfortable, but occasionally, access to the pool felt limited given the number of sunbeds available, which could have enhanced the experience. Wi-Fi connectivity could also use improvement for a better overall stay.

The rooms are newly remodelled and include an electric kettle, a fridge and kitchenware.

The staff is very attentive. It is a hotel that takes great care of details: every morning at breakfast they bring you a special dish of the day, they invite you for a drink at the pool bar on the first day and all the staff are very friendly. They offered us many very useful recommendations, both of restaurants and of transport, places to visit. In addition, they will arrange your transfer to the airport/port if you request it. The pool area has incredible views, it's worth having a drink there. The breakfast is very complete and very rich. The location is perfect, very close to Thira (20 minutes walk) and in the heart of Firostefani, which has a lot of restaurants highly recommended. The hotel is close (5 minutes walk) to the main square of Firostefani, where the buses to the main places of the island stop. Also from the hotel itself you can manage the rental of a vehicle, which is also very comfortable.

Absolutely disappointed with this hotel. I was told the pool area was "fun" but it sure felt cramped with only 6 sun beds, and I could smell sewage in the bathroom. I almost gave a good review but no one offered me a complimentary upgrade for all these inconveniences.

Standard rooms are pretty small. Their balcony rooms are bigger. Luckily we were able to get an upgrade to a cave apt at a nominal charge. Rooms are more akin to basic living. Beds squeak and lighting in the room not all that bright. But the location and staff outscore any negatives!

The breakfast was generous and delicious with good quality, the best I had in Firostefani. The location was unbeatable and incredible, not too far away from Fira: )

Nothing short of lovely! The views from the pool are a postcard come to life, and the staff's warmth. Every breakfast was a good surprise, with fresh and varied treats. Late check-out was a sweet bonus too! Perfect spot for sightseeing and soaking in the sunset!

Absolutely stunning location, simply amazing views, close to a minimart and a couple of good restaurants, only a 10 minute walk to town. Extremely friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, we loved it there!

As with any hotel room on Santorini, it was a little small and the bathroom cramped, but still very clean, we had a safe, TV/DVD, fridge and even a small cook top.

The hotel provided a delicious and scrumptious breakfast with fantastic cappuccino, locally and also hot options. Our room was newly remodelled and neat, included with a fantastic balcony and a stunning view and sleeper sofa...

The sunsets from our balcony were very nice 👌 The staff was super accommodating, and breakfast was both delicious and featured local treats daily. Only downside was the cool pool water. Would still come back in a heartbeat!

The owners where husband and wife and they were the ones at reception meaning you where gaurenteed the best customer service. We always had friendly staff, the owners where very helpful giving is exact directions for attractions and how to get their aswell as booking tours for us. We where given a orientation upon arrival, tour of the hotel/facilities, a map of the city, map of santorini pointing out main attractions and a bus timetable. This made us feel very welcomed and made it easier to get around and see things during our stay. Highly recommend it such lovely owners! Breakfast was yummy homemade dishes such as pie and quiche and homemade bread was my favourite!

It was a 15min walk into centre of town however it was a straight cobble road no chance of getting lost. The amazing view from hotel and view on the walk info town definitely made up for it!

Location extraordinary, clean and amazin staff.

Because there is no sound protection you can hear everything from other rooms. Three night got to hear people having sex at precise moment of 1:40 AM, and other people could hear that too from the corridor

The views from our balcony were amazing, and the location was perfect-within walking distance to amazing restaurants and activities. The staff was friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We particularly loved the delicious breakfast buffet, with fresh local dishes each day. The swimming pool offered a fine view over the caldera.

the view was fantastic. Quiet surroundings with beauty. Amazing sunsets. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful owners/managers and very accommodating. Beds are very comfy especially the pillows.

Shower is restrictive with big step to get into bathtub with the shower. Bathroom quite small.

this exceptionally comfortable hotel was in very central location in front of george's blue dome gift shop. moreover, it was short walk to the restaurants and activities, and santorini from washington, dc.
